Elnökévé báró Podmanicky Gézát szavazták meg, az öttagú igazgatóság egyik tagjává pedig Perczel József tábornokot.62 A nagy, nyílt területek megszűnésével országszerte nagymértékben visszaszorult az agarak használata a vadászatban, így egyedszámuk is lecsökkent. Az utolsó lovas agarászatot 1943-ban tartották, az utolsó agaras nyulászatot pedig 1944-ben, Törökszentmiklóson jegyezték fel.63 The author works as an archivist in the Archive of Veszprém County. In this study, she looks at the descendants and their relations in Veszprém county of one of the military leaders of the Hungarian War of Independence (1848-1849) general Mór Perczel (1811-1899). Out of the 14 children of Mór Perczel, one of the most outstanding one was his son, József Perczel, who like his father held a military career. He retired in 1901 as a general — also held the titles major general and lieutenant-general. He was the commandant of the 7th Hungarian cavalry regiment first as a lieutenant-colonel then a colonel between 1890 and 1896 in Pápa. He played an active role in the town’s social life, he organized hunting games, greyhound and horse racings in which he also won prizes. In a village close to the town called Vanyola, he bought a wine property and a holiday home where his family rested in summers and in early autumns. His property was inherited by his son, Armand Perczel, whose widow countess Ilona Toldalagi lived in Balatonfőkajár but she had close relations with the families in Vanyola until the years of the 1970s.
