***** Summary László Böcskei MEMORIES OF MY COLLEGE YEARS IN PÁPA 2. In the 3-4* issue of our journal, 2017, we published the first part of László Böcskei a retired mechanical engineer’s memories of the years which he spent in classes 1-4* in the Reformed Grammar-school in Pápa. These years were determined by World War two. In the second part of his memories, he writes about the years of 1945-1949, when he attended the 5-8* forms in the same school. In 1945, the Soviet Army occupied Hungary and soon they started to eliminate civil democracy and to introduce communist dictatorship. Life in the reformed grammar-school also changed: the study year started in poor circumstances, since air raids and battles ruined school labs and damaged 25% of the libray and 50% of the furniture. Curriculum also changed, religious education was slowly replaced by the Marxist ideology. Traditional students associations were reorganized or ceised, students became diversified. Followers of the Communist Party joined another studenst association called Sándor Petőfi People’s College. It was a great experience for the auther that after the school leaving examinations, in August 1949 he was able to take part in the World Youth Meeting in Budapest which housed 10400 young people from 42 countries. 106 s-
