In this study he tries to introduce the settlement structure of a village called Atya situated close to Pápa in Veszprém county from the late Middle Ages. Besides using specialist literature, his findings are based on printed materials and original documents. In 1496, Kálmán Ispán and his relation, István Döbrési divided the village Atya between themselves, in the surroundings of which we can find two settlements destroyed before (Bachot, Boltháza). From the document issued after the division we can detect the inner part of the village (its street, site-structure, church), and the outer part as well (plough-lands, pastures, a mill, a forest). 21-22 Hungarian acres of plough-land belonged to each inner site. The author pointed out that the topographic names survived centuries, and a part of them he was able to identify with the help of a map from 1786. The story of Atya family started in 1319 which belonged to the smallholder noble class and fought to escape poverty throughout the 14-15* centuries. »15 «
