Acta Papensia 2003 - A Pápai Református Gyűjtemények Közleményei 3. évfolyam (Pápa, 2003)

3-4. szám - Forrásközlés - Köblös József: A pápai reformátusok küzdelmei a szabad vallásgyakorlatért a XVIII. század elején

Forrásközlés Calvinists of Pápa decided that it was the one in effect at the time of the issue of Article 30, 1715, and started using their church again. At the energetic intervention of Volkra, the Bishop and Lord Lieutenant of Veszprém, the king issued another decree clarifying that he had the staus quo at the time of one of his earlier decisions in mind, so the Protestants of Pápa were forced to close their church again. The twenty years after 1720 was a time of relative calm. They did not use the church for religious services but it remained their property. Services were conducted at a private house, the ministers were not dismissed and the college continued to operate in the original building. Their struggle with their landlords resulted in considerable losses, but they managed to survive and even have the legality of their earlier activity recognized. Acta Papensia III (2003) 3^1. 293
