Műhely (adakozás, fogadalmi keresztek állítása, stb.) megfelelően cselekszik, s egyúttal látványosan demonstrálja vallásos életvitelét. Másrészt ezen a módon mintegy ki is terjeszti az eddig a háza kerítésénél véget érő szent teret így kívánja védelme alá vonni a falu egészét. Polgármesterként elsősorban karitatív célok vezérelnék: szeretné felvirágoztatni elhanyagolt faluját. ÖSSZEGZÉS Dolgozatom elsősorban esettanulmány: egy mágikus specialista alakján keresztül igyekeztem rávilágítani egymástól nagyon is eltérőnek vélt ideológiák, hiedelemrendszerek, képzetkörők összekapcsolódásának módjaira. Kutatásomat természetesen tovább folytatom, egyrészt a megfelelő elméleti keretek finomabb kidolgozása, másrészt az általam most csak érintőleges említett többi gyógyító és jós tevékenységének behatóbb ismertetése, harmadrészt a „másik oldal”, a klientúra megrajzolása irányában. SUMMARY JUDIT KIS-HALAS „Whenever I heal angel appear before my eyes’’ A holy healer from South Baranya IA case study) I have outlined the process of the identity-creation of a modem and at the same time archaic magic specialist in my case study. The analysis is based on a path-of-life interview and ensuing informal talks struck up with the holy healer, Erzsiké, which were recorded during my acquisitions in 2000 and 2001. As an addition, 1 have used data from the region of Southern Transdanubia together with my own collections from Somogy County. From this narrative text I have mostly highlighted those parts, which best illustrate the integrating process of magic traditions of different sources. Erzsiké seems to be the repository of three different magic traditions: 1. She is the successor of folk-healers from the area of Ormánság and Southern Transdanubia, who can identify signs of bewitching in the course of her healing activities; 2. She is also engaged in cartomancy, this way, her fortune-telling by cards can be linked to some probable urban traditions of later origin; 3. She conjures up angels from a magic book sent from America and prepares angel-amulets, which should rather be evaluated as the outcome of fairly recent new-age esoterics. 232 Acta Papensia II (2002) 3-4.
