Practical information

o Transportation Our building, located in Budapest at the corner of Mester St. and Vágóhíd St., 300 meters from the National Theatre (Nemzeti Színház) and the Ludwig Museum can be accessed by traveling to Nagyvárad Square by underground, taking tram no. 30 from Ferenc Boulevard. There are trams leaving from Budapest Western Railway Station (Nyugati pályaudvar) to Nagykőrös and Vác. Long distance buses into these two towns are leaving from Népliget, or from Árpád Bridge (Árpád-híd). By car Nagykőrös can be accessed from Budapest: on roads no. 4, 40 and 50, while from Kecskemét on road no. 441, Vác can be accessed from Budapest on road no. 2 and 2A (E 77). Parking is possible in Budapest and in Nagykőrös in the closed courtyard of the Archive, in Vác in the public area in front of our building. Public phone can be found in Budapest in Lurdy House (Lurdy-Ház), in Nagykőrös in the Főtér (Main Square), in Vác in front of the law-courts. First Aid can be required in Budapest at the information desk, while at the branch offices from our employees. Difficulty-free Traffic in Budapest is no problem; at our rural branches our employees provide help in it. Smoking is prohibited in the buildings of our Archives, except for the designated areas. Post Office receipt stamps are available and cheques can be paid in Budapest in Lurdy House in Nagykőrös and in Vác at the Main Post Office. ATM can be found in Budapest in Lurdy House, in Nagykőrös at Heroes' Square (Hősök tere), in Vác in Széchenyi St. Publication-sale Specific publications of our Archives can be purchased at otir Archives, or in the Magister Book Store in Budapest (Városház St. 1.), or they can be ordered by mail.
