m Monori levelezőlap (1900) / Ansichtskkarte von Monor (Í900) / Postcard about Monor (1900) From the end of the 1880s several smaller or bigger factories, plants were established in Vác: e.g. írom the German capital the Neumann Vinegar Plant Ltd. of Vác, the First Hungarian Weaving and Knitting Factory Ltd., írom Swiss financial fund the Vác Spinning Factory Ltd. and the Salzmann and Partner Ltd. dealing with spinning and sewing thread manufacturing. Although the documents of the factories, nationalised at the end of the 1940s were not completely preserved, they still, even if fragmentary, represent a useful record for the economy-, plant- and local historians. From the credit and insurance organizations the almost 22 linear meters of documents from 1859-1949 of the Nagykőrös Village Savings Bank are worth to mention. Beside the records of the governing council and the supervising body, the book of accounts, the closing audits, and registers can be found in the material. The objective of establishing the credit unions at the settlements at the turn of the 19 th —20 th century was to facilitate the establishing of smaller enterprises, to ensure their production activity and development. The Pest County Archives is preserving the documents - most of which are financial records - of nearly one hundred Pest County settlements' credit unions, from the years before 1950. Some documents in the Archive of the public- and religious foundations - amongst them the Cegléd Religious Foundation - from the agricultural plants deserve attention. Some of the bailiffs, bursar's and land-steward's documents are from the end of the 18 th century and although they are fragmentary, economy historians can use them successfully. The almost 230 linear meters long archive of the Vác Episcopal Economic Archives, generated between 1293-1944 came as a deposit to the safekeeping of the Pest County 188
