A vármegye lovas bandériwna (1928) / Pjerdebawlerium des Komilats (i 928 J; Cavalry of the county (1928) The Officer Prosecutor (called Officer Director Prosecutor after 1886) had his separate fond in the extent of 25 linear meters. He was the legal adviser of the county and his opinion was asked in all legal issues. He controlled the local governmental decrees, and took care of them to be in line with the national rules. He represented the county in local authority lawsuits. The documents of some special county authorities can be found in this fond main group, such as documents deriving from the veterinary surgeon of the local authority (11 lm), the Officer Head Surgeon (45 lm), furthermore that of the county audit office (60 lm). The Officer Head Surgeon was the inspector of the public health of the county. He inspected the health care conditions of hospitals, schools, the personnel of health care institutions, and private surgeons. He himself was not allowed to cure, or to practice his medical profession, but he controlled the prevention of contagious diseases, the battle against alcoholism, infant mortality and malnutrition. He wrote reports about the current conditions, made suggestions to rectify insufficiencies. There is a separate substance within the fond for kindergarten and health care documents. In the documents of the county audit office the researchers can primarily find data regarding financial conditions of the county. The audit office inspected the domestic bank of the county, the work of the chief cashier and the cashiers. The head of the office was the Head Auditor who was appointed by the Convention for six years. Starting from 1902 the courts of auditors were at the same level as the state linancial directorship and they were operating separately from the county local authority, the Vice-Lieutenant, 170
