Brief history of the Pest County Archives

in sale custody in the Pest County Archives and in the Vác Branch based on special agreement. Currently the Vác Branch administers the duplicate copies of state registers of births after 1895 of Pest County. The Vác Branch linked the educational and scientific life of the town. School groups regularly visit the Institute and students can learn about it and its archival resources. Employees of the Vác Branch had cooperated in publishing several county archive and town publications. It is already becoming a tradition that the three local public collections, the Town Library, the Museum and the Archives, organize events together (exhibitions, conferences), and some local historical publications came into being as a result of the cooperation. In the past 25 years we organised several events in the Ceremonial Hall of the Archives: conferences, scientific lectures, exhibitions, book launches, club meetings and concerts.
