Papp, J.: Eleven new Eubazus Nees species from the Neotropical region (Hymenoptera: Braconidae: Brachistinae)
Nos 7999-8000. Condition of the type series is very good, right antenna of one female paratype (in Budapest) damaged. Etymology - The species name "albicoxa" refers to the white coloured coxae. Description of the female holotype - Body 4.8 mm long. Antenna about one-fourth longer than body and with 36 antennomeres. First flagellomeres 5.4 times as long as broad apically, further flagellomeres gradually shortening so that flagellomeres 14-33 cubic and flagellomeres 11-13-26-27 slightly thickening. - Head in dorsal view (Fig. 1) transverse 1.8 times as broad as long, eye 1.35 times as long as temple, temple rounded, occiput weakly excavated. Ocelli small and elliptic, OOL 1.6 times as long as POL. Eye in lateral view 1.5 times as high as wide, temple beyond eye ventrally indistinctly widening and just less wide than eye. Clypeus clearly three times as wide as high, its ventral margin medially pointed (Fig. 2). Head densely hairpunctate, punctation on face medially somewhat and on frons entirely and clearly confluent, interspaces subshiny. Mesosoma in lateral view 1.6 times as long as high. Notaulix evenly deep, crenulate. Precoxal suture missing. Prescutellar furrow with three crenulae. Propodeum rugose with a few lacunose elements, its anterior (or horizontal) part smooth, shiny and divided medio-longitudinally by a carina (Fig. 3). Hind femur four times as long as broad medially and finely punctate (Fig. 4). Claw weakly widening basally as in Fig 5. Fore wing as long as body. Pterostigma (Fig. 6) 3.3 times as long as wide and issuing r clearly distally from its middle, r as long as width of pterostigma, 2-SR one fifth longer than r, 3-4-SR bent and approaching tip of wing; 1-R1 one-fifth longer than pterostigma, 2-R1 reaching tip of wing. First discal cell: cu-a just one-third longer than 1-CU1, /-Marched and 1.2 times as long as 1-SR-M (Fig. 7). Hind wing: cu-a of subbasal cell straight as in Fig. 8 (arrow indicating cu-a). First tergite (Fig. 9) a bit longer than broad behind, its hind width twice to basal width, pair of basal keels parallel and merging into longitudinal striation of tergite. Second tergite twice as wide basally as long medially, third tergite a bit shorter than second tergite; second and further tergites polFigs 1-10. Eubazus albicoxa sp. n.: 1 = head in dorsal view, 2 = clypeus, 3 = propodeum, 4 = hind femur with indication of its surface sculpture, 5 = claw, 6 = distal part of right fore wing, 7 = first discal and first subdiscal cells of fore wing, 8 = subbasal cell of hind wing, 9 = tergites 1-3 of female, 10 = first tergite of male
