Buhl, P. N.: Platygastridae (Hymenoptera) from Mongolia
Remarks - The two paratypes have metasoma distinctly less convex than holotype. S. neglectus is similar to S. neuroteri KlEFFER, 1916, but antenna somewhat differently shaped, cf. KlEFFER (1926, Fig. 274), especially Al of S. neglectus less curved (and darker). S. neglectus is close to S. mongolicus sp. n. but with sculpture of frons more finely and uniformly reticulate, and more dull than in S. mongolicus which has sculpture stronger and exclusively transverse in lower 0.4; S. neglectus has also shorter, narrower and more convex metasoma and darker body appendages than in S. mongolicus, cf. above for further details. Synopeas osaces (WALKER, 1835) Material examined - 6 females, Bajanchongor aimak, Cagan Bogd ul, between Talyn bilgech bulag and Caganbulag, 25 km WSW of spring, 1450 m, 24.VI.1967; 12 females, Bajanchongor aimak, oasis Echin gol, 90 km NE of border post Caganbulag, 950 m, 27-28.VI.1968. Synopeas rhanis (WALKER, 1835) Material examined - 1 female, Chövsgöl aimak, 4 km NW of Mörön, 1500 m, 19. VII. 1968. Synopeas striatitergitis sp. n. (Figs 79-82) Female - Length 1.4 mm. Black, antennae and legs dark brown; both ends of all tibiae, and all tarsi more or less light brown. Head from above (Fig. 79) 1.9 x as wide as long, 1.1 x as wide as mesosoma; occiput uniformly reticulate-coriaceous, rounded, without carina; vertex and frons more or less transversely reticulate-coriaceous. OOL twice the diameter of lateral ocellus. Head in frontal view 1.25 x as wide as high; antenna (Fig. 80) with A 1 0.8 x as long as height of head. Mesosoma 1.4 x as long as wide, very slightly higher than wide. Sides of pronotum rather uniformly reticulate-coriaceous (not longitudinally so) all over. Mesoscutum uniformly reticulate-coriaceous as occiput, sparsely hairy, with notauli weakly indicated almost to anterior margin; hind margin convex, mid lobe posteriorly rather narrow and very slightly prolonged and raised; scuto-scutellar grooves triangular, covered by numerous hairs. Mesopleuron smooth, with fine longitudinal striae in upper 0.3. Scutellum (Fig. 81) finely reticulate-coriaceous, medially weakly keeled, laterally rather densely hairy, posteriorly with a dark, narrow, almost vertical lamella. Metapleuron with whitish pilosity except in anterior and lower 0.5. Propodeal carinae short, low, parallel; area between them slightly transverse. Fore wing hardly 0.9 x as long as entire body, 2.6 x as long as wide, clear, with dense microtrichia; marginal cilia short. Hind wing 5.5 x as long as wide; marginal cilia 0.3 width of wing. Metasoma (Fig. 82) 1.2 x as long as head and mesosoma combined, about as wide as head, 1.4 x as wide as high. Tl with several longitudinal keels. T2 densely striated to about 0.2 of length, rest of ter-
