Buhl, P. N.: Platygastridae (Hymenoptera) from Mongolia

Platygaster striatipleura sp. n. (Figs 51-54) Female - Length 1.9 mm. Black, antennae hardly lighter; legs dark brown, both ends of tibiae and segments 1—4 of all tarsi slightly lighter. Head from above (Fig. 51) 1.8 x as wide as long, very slightly wider than mesosoma; occiput and vertex roughly reticulate-coriaceous with scattered transverse wrinkles; frons distinctly reticulate-coriaceous between rather strong transverse fan-like striation. Head in frontal view 1.3 x as wide as high; antenna (Fig. 52) with A 1 0.9 x as long as height of head, A9 1.8 x as long as wide. Mesosoma one and a third times as long as wide, as high as wide. Sides of pronotum dull, reticulate-coriaceous with longitudinal striae all over. Mesoscutum with few hairs, distinctly and uniformly reticulate-coriaceous (not longitudinally so) all over; admedian lines visible in anterior 0.4; notauli complete and deep; mid lobe posteriorly rather narrowly pointed but not reaching base of scutellum; scuto-scutellar grooves with very few hairs. Mesopleuron longitudinally striated in slightly more than upper half. Scutellum (Fig. 53) reticulate-coriaceous and with slightly raised rugosity, sparsely hairy. Metapleuron with pilosity all over. Propodeal carinae parallel, area between them as long as wide, smooth and shiny. Fore wing much damaged on unique specimen, of normal proportions, almost clear and with rather long and dense microtrichia; marginal cilia short. Hind wing 5.3 x as long as wide, with three hamuli; marginal cilia 0.2 width of wing. Metasoma (Fig. 54) as long as head and mesosoma combined, as wide as mesosoma. Tl with two rather weak longitudinal keels medially and with some shorter carinae. T2 striated over whole width to about midlength, striae laterally continuing very finely to more than 0.6 of length. T3-T6 smooth, T3 laterally with rather deeply implanted hairs, T4-T6 each with a complete transverse row of such hairs. Material examined - Holotype female: Mongolia, Central aimak, ca. 30 km E of Somon, Nalajch, 1530 m, 14.VI.1966. Remarks - Most similar to P. lineaticeps BUHL, 1994, but this species differs from P. striatipleura e.g. in having scutellum not above level of mesoscutum, and T2 smooth, cf. also BUHL ( 1994/;). P. striatipleura runs to P. striolatus NEES, 1834 in KlEFFER' s (1926) key, but is has distinctly more elongate flagellar segments than P. striolatus. Platygaster tisias WALKER, 1835 Material examined - 1 female, Central aimak, SE of Somon Bajanzogt, 1600 m, 11. VI. 1966; 3 females, Zavchan aimak, Choit chunch, 26 km ENE of lake Telmen nuur, 2150 m, 13.VII. 1968. Platygaster zavchanensis sp. n. (Figs 55-58) Female - Length 1.4 mm. Dull black, antennae, mandibles, tegulae and legs dark brown, both ends of all tibiae and segments 1-4 of all tarsi light brown. Head from above (Fig. 55) 2.2 x as wide as
