The riparian vegetation of these streams shows differences mainly in the frequency of occurrence of the dominant tree species. The banks of the Patkós- and Kecskekút-stream are mostly covered by Fagus sylvatica and Carpinus betulus. Along the other six streams Alnus glutinosa and Salix spp. are the dominant trees. The dominant species of aquatic hyphomycetes communities of the six streams (Henc, Jósva, Kecső, Ménes, Telekes, Tohonya) are Tetracladium marchalianum and Tricladium angulatum. The similarity in species composition between these six streams and the lower course of the Morgó-stream in the Börzsöny Mts. is high. Longitudinal distribution of Tetracladium marchalianum in the Morgó-stream was studied in a leaf-pack
