Cap 8-15(20) cm, cream white, rather quickly yellowing, later ochre, rusty ochre, may be locally brownish, naked. Gills greyish flesh-colour or grey­ish rosy. Stem (6)8-15 x 1-3 cm, cylindrical or clavate or gradually en­larged towards the base, whitish, yellowish white, almost naked. Ring dou­ble, on the underside later with a cog-wheel ornamentation. Smell al­monds-, anise-like. Spores 6.5-8 x 4-5 yum . Cheilocystidia ovoid to bal­loon-shaped, sometimes shortly clavate, 10-25 x 8-18(20) jjm . On grassy places. BON: 279; CAPP. Cap 6-9 cm, white, finally greyish white, not yellowing when handled, only preparátum turning light yellow, smooth, later margin squamulose-floccose , towards the middle some veil-remnants may be present, margin with veil­zone. Gills pale then rosy. Stem slender, 6-11 x 0.5-1.5 cm, cylindrical, white, towards the base flocci-squamules in zones. Ring thin, with squam­ules in circles on the underside when young. Flesh unchanging. Smell weak. Schaffer reaction negative. Spores 8-9.5(10) x 5.5-6.3(7)yum. Cheilocysti­dia ovoid to clavate, 14-24 x 7-10 jum. In groves. BA.: 4 A. cappellii BOH. et ALBERT 7b - Fungus larger. Cap 9-18(25) cm, whitish, yellowing when handled, floccoso-squamulose or squamulose, in the sun may brake up into coarse squames. Gills pale flesh colour or rosy. Stem 8-10 x 2-4 cm, more or less enlarged towards the base or clavate, white, under the ring floccose-squamulose . Ring wide, with a cog-wheel ornamentation on the underside. Flesh on cut-surface turning slightly flesh colour or rusty flesh colour, but unchanging at the culti­vated specimens. Schaffer reaction either positive or negative. Spores 8-9.5 x 5.3-6 jam . Cheilocystidia mostly clavate, 11-22 x 4-13 Aim. In pas­tures on moderately saline soil. It can be taken into cultivated. Cap -30(50) cm, white, cream, cream ochre, squames may be brownish ochre, entirely or partly or towards the margin densely squamulose-squamose . Gills rosaceous-reddish. Stem 10-13(17) x 2-5 cm, clavate or somewhat fu­siform, white, under the ring squamulose, floccoso-squamulose . Ring wide, rather thick, with a cog-wheel ornamentation on the underside towards the margin. Flesh turning pale pinkish. Spores 9.5-12(14) x 6-7(7.5) jam. Chei­locystidia often catenulate, i.e. rows of spherical-ovoid cells. BON: 279; CAPP.
