Lateral view of the right side of RUD-77 (original size) From the Lufeng site in China three Ramapithecus lufengensis and two Sivapithecus yunnanensis skulls were found between 1975 and 1983 (Wu RUKANG et al. 1981,1982, 1986). According to the latest description and morphological analysis (Wu RUKANG et al. 1986), at the Lufeng site only one genus existed, and male and female items of the ape called on the basis of priority Sivapithecus lufengensis were found. The finds PA 676 and PA 677 probably females, are suitable for comparison with RUD-77. In both cases the skulls are lightly arched, longitudinally elongated and no sagittal crest is present.
