were within the limits of the standard deviation while in groups A and C beyond the limits, indicating a higher (A) and a lower (C) degree of order. Summing up this grouping for all thermal parameters of a specimen, groups AB, BA, B, BC, were distinguished, where the first letter indicates the prevailing mark, and the second letter the subordinate one. This grouping is as follows : AB group: kaolinites from Keokuk, Rochlitz, Sasca-Montana BA group: kaolinites from Georgia, Kovaso 1, Ladoga lake, Sedlec B group: kaolinites from Királyhegy, Klösterle, Kovaso 2, Mária mine 1-2, Petrifalau, Sokolov BC group: kaolinites from Cserszegtomaj, Passau, Vidnova. Comparing this grouping with the values of the degree of order, the kaolinites belonging to group AB have values of 90-100, group BA falls into the range of 65-90, group B shows values 60-65, and group BC less than 60. Among the kaolinites with order values between 65 and 90, the samples from Kovaso, Klösterle, Maria I—II, and
