relationship with each other, the Lower Badenian Bertece valley and the Upper Badenian Paris stream. Chronologically they are also similarly arranged. They contain, however, different floras. With the aid of biological methods I succeeded in allocating these two floras among the more significant Miocene materials from Hungary as well as to determine their chronological order or their degree of relationship.
