Notogastral shield Na (Fig. 4) with only third field-pair of first group and first and third field­pairs of second group remaining disjunct, all other ones fused. Ring with a sinuous margin. Field­group along hairs c 1 fused into a band. Hairs simple; hairs c 2 and c 3 ciliate, sometimes visible only from a lateral view. Hairs c shorter than all other setae, hairs e longest. Material examined — Holotype (413-HO-78): Hungary, near Nyíregyháza, wooded en­virons of Lake Sóstó, 27. XL 1977, leg. M. őszi; 4 Paratypes: same locality; 2 Paraty­pe s : Hungary, Hortobágy National Park, Ohat, anthill in leaf litter under a nest-colony of crows, 29. IX. 1974, leg S. MAHUNKA. — Holotypes and 4 Paratypes (413-PO-a-b-78) in the HNHM; 1 Paratype in the MHNG. Remarks — Related to the preceding species, but differing by the distribution of the fields on the notogastral shields, the marginal delineation of the scales, their smooth surface and the more densely ciliate sensillus. PHTHIRACARIDAE Steganacarus csiszarae sp. n. (Figs. 7-9) Measurements — Length of aspis: 194 p., length of notogaster: 348 [x, height of noto­gaster: 208 [i. Aspis : Upper margin sinuous in a lateral view (Fig. 7). Hairs short, ciliate. Interbothridial Figs. 1-3. Brachychochthonius oesziae sp. n.: 1 = dorsal side, 2 = sculpture of notogaster, 3 = sen­sillus. — Figs. 4-6. Brachychochthonius subcricoides sp. n.: 4 = sculpture of notogaster, 5 = dorsal side, 6 = sensillus
