and scutellum longitudinally rugoso-punctate, mesopleuron above longitudinally closely rugoso-punctate, punctures larger below, gradually separated from each other and on lower portion with more or less interspaces between, but spaces less than width of puncture (Fig. 70), metapleuron longitudinally closely striate, with intervals shining; propodeum mat except disc of dorsal aspect, basal and medial furrow coarsely crenate, disc moderately largely, irregularly reticulate, sculpture coarser laterally and posteriorly and on posterior aspect main striae of coarse reticulation running radiately from medio-apical centre ; sides longitudinally, closely striate, striae about 20 in number, weaker than on metapleuron and much weaker downwards. Punctuation of tergites as in L. constricta, tergite 1 closely, almost uniformly punctured, on following tergites at medial elevated part punctures fine and close, on basal depression finer, partly transversely confluent and on posterior ferruginous marginal part finest and closest, appearing rather granulate; sternite 2 with a large mat area on each side and medially covered with mediumsized punctures, with intervals appr. as large as puncture, but punctures laterally finer. çf unknown. Holotype: 9 > Kosempo, 1908, leg. H. SAUTER. — Paratype: I 9 > Teraso, IV. 1908. Remarks: From Formosa i. (S.) constricta KROMBEIN, 1949, was recorded (YASUMATSU 1942, 1 -j* 2 $ from high mountain regions of Taipei and Nantou Prefectures) under the name Grabro (Ceratocolus) quadriceps BINGHAM. To me it seems, however, that the re-examination of the specimens is necessary. 66*. Lestica (Solenius) fulvipes sp. n. Ç (Figs. 71-74) Except for the marked difference in colour the present species is very close to the preceding one, but it differs also in the detailed structure of the clypeus, pronotum, mid femur and hind tibia. Among other congeners L. relicta LECLERCQ, known from Australia, is somewhat similar in the colour of the legs to the present species. It differs from this, however, in the colouration of the thorax and abdomen and in the structure of the clypeus and the legs and possibly also in the punctuation of the abdominal tergites. Cj . Length 8.5 mm. Black; antennái joint 1 cream yellow, joints 2 and 3 and parts of 4 orange yellow, also collar and tubercle of pronotum (in both, the marginal carinae semitransparent and tubercle with transparent window at the centre), large triangular mark at antero-lateral corner of mesoscutum, extending posteriorly along lateral margin in a narrow line to parategular area, somewhat darkened obscure short band in front of posterior margin of scutum, axilla, scutellum and postscutellum both wholly, a broad band on tergite 2 (medially ferruginous and partly slightly darkened), lateral marks on 3-5, from apex to lower base of outer side of fore femur, mid femur similarly on outer side, but on inner side also, fore and mid tibiae broadly in front and basal two or three joints of all tarsi except darker apices orange yellow. Ferruginous: rest of antennái joint 3, anterior margin of nape region of pronotum, posterior depressed part of collar, lateral margins of mesoscutum, tegula, bases of wings, apical slightly depressed parts of tergites 1-5 (in some light appearing darkened) and whole of legs from apex of coxae except the yellow parts above mentioned and castaneous part occupying greater part of hind femur, shift of yellow to ferruginous on legs rather indistinct, tarsi apieally
