Vásárhelyi, T.: Chinessa furcella sp. n., from New Guinea (Heteroptera, Aradidae)

Tating inner ridges. Median sulcus shallow, but deep and short transverse sulcus postero-lateral to ridges. Hind margin of pronotum strongly sinuate. — Scutel­lum subtriangular, 1.2 times as wide as long, granulate. Hemelytra well develop­ed, reaching to middle of tergite VII. Veins of membrane flattened. — Abdo­men ovate, postero-lateral angles of connexivum slightly protruding, same of segment VII very long, pointed, its hind margin sinuate. Spiracles II to VI ventral, VII latero-ventral, slightly visible from above, VIII apical. Paratergites cylindri­cal, shorter than hypopygium, latter rounded. — F e m u r granulate, with stron­ger granulation on inner side; tibia serrate. — Colour: dark brown; head, pro­notum, scutellum blackish, tibia, tarsus, rostrum lighter brown. Total length, rf : 8.2 mm; length of head: 1.7 mm; width of fore disc of pro­notum: 2.2 mm, hind disc: 2.7 mm; length of pronotum: 1.45 mm; maximum width of abdomen: 3.2 mm. Holotype: rf, New Guinea, Wau, 26. IX. 1969. leg. DR. J. BALOGH, deposited in the Hungarian Natural History Museum, Budapest. Related to Ch. for/ex KORMILEV, 1971, from New Guinea, but differs from it, among others in the relative length of antennái joints, shape of inner ridges on fore disc of pronotuni, and localization of spiracles VII, in Ch. for/ex spiracles VII being ventral and invisible from above.
