favourable the living cells pass into the vegetative stage and a few one- or twocelled filaments are liberated by the rupture of the cell-wall. This thick-walled stage is the winterform of the species. Reproduction takes place in the filamentous stage by characteristic fragmentation. Under certain conditions the septa of some cells thicken and form anvil-like pieces. Mass disorganization of the cells and threads takes place when the conditions are unfavourable. The author made regular collectings at a sample site near Párád, (between Galyatető and Kékestető Mts. Mátra) and also in the environs of Mátrafüred. Tjjszentmargita, Ohat and Kunmadaras. So there are many samples from different localities and different time of the year. By using the phenological method I compiled a phenological table (Table 3). Table 3 reveals, that in the cases of Chlor hormidium species may be present together in the vegetative and disorganizational stages. Moreover, the reproductive stadium is absent, because the reproduction takes place by the fragmentation of the filaments. Fig. 1.
