Nagy, I. Z.: Lower Liassic molluscs from the Mts. Mecsek, Hungary
According to DACQUÉ, the genus lived írom the Lower Liassic until the Gallovian, whereas G. & H. TERMIER piace it between the Sinemurian and the Ncocomian. POMPECKTJ reports it from the dispansus and radiatus zones. Superfam.: Subulitacea LINDSTRÖM, 1884; Fam.: Coelostylinidae KITTE, 1894; Genus: Coèlostylina KITTE, 1804. Coèlostylina choffati BÖHM Plate \, Fig. 3. 1001 Coèlostylina ehoffati BÖHM — Pereiros Schichten, p. 221, PL 8, Fig. 13. Examined material: A single specimen from the Hettangian-Sinemurian cover; Komló, Adolf shaft. Height 20 mm, greatest width 18 mm; a mold. M 69.366. Remarks: The specimen is slightly bigger than BÖHM'S exemplars from Almaroz. The 5 (?6) whorls increase relatively rapidly; the suturai lines are distinct, the whorls rounded. The aperture attenuates both interiorly and superiorly. The inner lip is slightly incrassate and recurves so far that it forms a small umbilicus at the columella. The growth lines are only partly discernible. Coèlostylina aff. liasina (TERQUEM) aft. 1804 Phasianella liasina TERQUEM. — Luxembourg el Hettange, ö. 2(57, Pl. 16, Fig, 4. Examined material: A bank in two coal beds, with many snails. Hettangian, from Pecs, without any nearer site. M 57.3715; M 63.1319. Remarks: The specimens, assignable to the Formenkreis of the above species, are present in "rock-forming" masses, a characteristic feature of the taxon in the Mts. Mecsek. Their length is 5 mm on the average; some squatter exemplars suggests the C. nana Formenkreis, but the material does not allow an exact taxonomic differentiation. A most frequent type in the Liassic fauna of the Mts. Mecsek. Lamellibranchiata Superfam.: Aiieulacca; Fam.: Nuculidae D'ORBIGNY, 1844; Genus: Nueula LAMARCK, 1799. Nueula aff. subglobosa BOEMER Examined material: Fragments of about five specimens in two coal shale pieces. Zobák, Mine I, collected in 1066 by I, Z. NAGY. Length 18 mm, height 16 mm. M 60.358. Remarks: To be found together with the genera Perna, Gervillia, and Modiola, in cemented banks. The apex is shifted to the centre, hence the shell is largely triangular. The robust growth lines project in sharp arches over the lower margin
