M. Nyírő, R.: Study of the smaller Foraminifera of the Weimpuszta Middle Eocene key section at Nagyesztergár (Bakony Mountains, Transdanubia, Hungary)

Three specimens, from sample 81 of the Assilina spira horizon, corresponding the form described by KAASCHTETER (1961) except for that the elder, triserial part of the test has a more expressed edge, and it is relatively bigger. In Hungary, known from the strata considered as Lower Eocene of the Dorog Basin. — Lower Eocene of England and the Netherlands, Lower and Middle Eocene of Belgium. Clavulina cocoaensis (CUSHMAN) Plate I, Fig. 2. 1936 Pseudoclavulina cocoaensis CUSHMAN. CUSHMAN: Cushm. Lab. Foram. Res., Sqec. Publ. No. 6., p. 18, pi. 3, fig. 6. One single specimen from sample 81 of the Assilina spira horizon, corresponding the type described by CUSHMAN (1936). It ressembles the figure published by KAASCHTETER (1961) as Pseudoclavulina sp. Ps. cocoaensis, from the Upper Eocene of Belgium. New for Hungary. Clavulina parisiensis D'ORBIGNY Plate I, Fig. 1. 1926 Clavulina parisiensis D'ORBIGNY, D'ORBIGNY: Ann. Sei. Nat., ser. 1, vol. 7, p. 268, no. 3, modele no. 66. 1961 Clavulina parisiensis D'ORBIGNY, KAASSCHIETER: Inst. Roy. d. Sei. Nat. de Belg. Mem., Mem. No. 147, p. 144, pl. I, fig. 27, 28. The predominant species in sample 81 of the Assilina spira horizon. The uniserial younger portion of the test is of varying size and chamber number. The triserial constitution of the older chambers is well observable, unlike the shape and disposition of the individual chambers. In Hungary, common in the Middle Eocene of the Dorog Basin and in the Middle Eocene Nummulites striatus horizon at Solymár (Buda Mts). Lutetian of France, Middle and Upper Eocene of Belgium, Lower Eocene of Germany. Gen. Triloculina D'ORBIGNY, 1826 Triloeulina porvaensis HANTKEN Plate I, Fig. 9. 1875 Triloculina porvaensis HANTKEN, HANTKEN: M. kir. Földt. Int. Évkönyve, vol. IV, p. 76, pl. XII, fig. 3. Whereas HANTKEN (1875) described one single specimen from the Porva Marl {section A), sample 87 of the Weimpuszta section yielded 8 specimens. Test wall strongly ribbed, aperture circular, correspondig the type specimen, as well as the size (1 mm). Not known outside of Hungary.
