postanal hairs of the male deviate with respect to both their length and proportions between each other. The hypopi differ by their reduced ventrum from those of all known species of the genus. The new species resembles in a number of features the taxon Caloglyphus mycophagus (MEGNIN, 1874) published by HUGHES, but the postanal hairs and the proportion to one another of the hairs d 1? d 2 , and d 3 also essentially differ. Nycteriglyphus ZACHVATKIN, 1941 ZACHVATKIN established the genus for the species Glycyphagas pterophorus BERLESE, 1892. HUGHES (2) identified with it the genus Coproglyphus TÜRK and TÜRK, 1957. In my opinion, substantiated also by the new occurrence of the species in Hungary, a near ally of the species of the TÜRK brothers, the synonymization is only partly justifiable and the taxon of the above authors should be preserved as a subgenus. Nycteriglyplms (C.) verrucosus sp. n. Male Length: 248-311 p, width: 143-180 p. Dorsal side: Delimiting border between propodosoma and hysterosoma not recognizable. Except for anterior portion of propodosoma, entire surface of body ornamented with large, convex protuberances transforming into finer but wider excrescences. All hairs more or less widened, marginally dentate. Ventral side (Fig. 41): surface ornamented with a transversal rugulosity, occasionally forming a pattern resembling a human fingertip. Sternum and epimeres short, not reaching genital opening. Their shape and portion of sexual organs (as visible from above) shown on Fig. 36. Hairs of coxal areas extremely long. Legs: Hair of genu ciliate on leg 1 (Figs. 42—43) and 2. Chaetotaxy of tarsus 4 shown on Fig. 38. Female Length: 292-341 p, width: 161-192 p. Dorsal side (Fig. 39) : Agreeing in all details with dorsal side of male, but hairs slightly longer. Shape identical. Bursa copulatrix visible at posterior end of body (Fig. 37) : a characteristical, projecting hook. Ventral side (Fig. 40): Also epimeres 1 short, sternum not developed. Four pairs of hairs near anal aperture. Legs : No essential difference against those of male. Hypopus Unknown. Type-material: 1 çf ex. (Holotype: A—319p— 67): No. 985. 1 9 ex. (Allotype: A—320p — 67): data as for Holotype. 22 çf ex. and 45 9 ex. (Paratypes: A —321p — 67) : data as for Holotype. Holo- and Allotype and the majority of Paratypes deposited in the Zoological Department of the Hungarian Natural History Museum ; some Paratypes in the collections of Dr. K. SAMSINÁK, Praha, Dr. V. RUPES, Praha, and Dr. K. KUROSA, Tokyo. Remarks : The species is a near ally of N. stammeri TÜRK et TÜRK, 1957. However, it is easily distinguishable by the characteristical sculpture of the ventral side and mainly the extremely long hairs of the coxal areas.
