Again, the dimensions of the spores of Coniochaeta leucoplaca (BERK. & RAV.) CAIN entirely agree with those of the species Coniochaeta sordaria (Fr.) TRAV. The two species are probably identical. After Gymnoascus reessii BARANETZKY and Gymnoascus californiensis (ORR. & KUEHN) APINIS (Syn. : Auxarthron calij'omiense ORR & KUEHN), this is the third known species of the genus Gymnoascus BARANETZKY from dung in Hungary (Fig. 2).
