On the Eriophyids of Hungary V The Description of a New Genus and Two New Species (Acari, Eriophyioidea) By H. K. FARKAS, Budapest Boczekella gen. n. This genus is a member of the Phytoptinae KEIFER 1944. The new genus differs from all other taxa by having only one setiferous tubercle (frontal shield seta) on shield, rear pair of setae being absent. Subdorsal abdominal setae present. Abdomen divided laterally into broader tergites and more numerous narrower sternites, setae in usual locations. Shield with an anterior lobe over rostrum, which is very short. Rostrum moderat in size. Body fusiform, circular in cross section. Abdomen variable: tergites broad, surface smooth or rugged, sometimes with microtubercles. Abdominal tergites formed into three dorsal longitudinal ridges. Types species: Boczekella laricis sp. n. Boczekella laricis sp. n. Female 170—210 u, long, 50—57 p. wide. Bostrum 28 p. long, somewhat decli­nate. Shield 40 p. long, 57 p. wide, design an involved network, median line present. Frontal shield seta thin, 10 p, long, dorsal tubercles and setae missing. Forelegs 36 p. long, tibia 8 u. long, tarsus 8 p. long, claw 10 u, long, curved. Featherclaw 7—8 rayed. Hindlegs 32 p. long, tibia 6.5 p, long, tarsus 7 u, long, claw 12 p, long. Coxae somewhat ornamented with curved lines, a thin sternal line present, Abdomen with 43—48 ter­gites. Subdorsal setae on 6— 7 rings, setae 14 \x long. Lateral seta 28 p, long, first ventral seta 28 u. long, second ventral seta 20 u. long, third ventral seta 24 u. long, on sternite 6 from rear. Accessory seta 7 \i long. Female genitalia 20 u. wide, 18 u. long, coverflap smooth, seta 16 u, long, 14 u, apart from each other. Male 170 u. long. Type locality: Dobogókő, near the top of the mountain, Hungary. Collected: 18 October, 1964, by the author. Host: Larix europea L. (Abietaceae). Relation to host: The mites are vagrants on the new needles. Type material: No. 927. A type slide, six paratype slides. Remarks: The design of the shield and the tergites vary as to the specimen. The generic name is dedicated to Dr. J. BOCZEK (Poland). Aceria szépligetii sp. n. Female 160 p. long, 48 \l thick, fusiform. Rostrum large, 28 \x long, projecting diagonally downward. Shield 35 u, long, 37 u. wide. Median line complete, sometimes
