Ilionarsis gen. n. Hairs on head loosely forward, antennae of male finaly and densely ciliated below, labial palpi long, porrect, second joint with very large pointed brush, third joint nude, sharply ascending, longer than second, acuminate. Wings broadly lanceolate, tapering to a sharp tip. Venation of forewing : sc to 1/3 of costa, r L very near base (!), very long, r 2 to cu 3 grouped around end of cell, T4 + 5 coincident to costa before apex, m 2 +cu 1 coincident from lower angle of cell, cu 2 not far back. Hidwing : rr-f-ni! on very long stalk, embracing apex, m 3 separated from cu 1? cu 2 further back (fig. 5 : A). Fig. 5 : A : Venation of Ilionarsis gen. n. — B : Male genital organ (ventrally, right valva omitted) of I. Földvárii sp. n. Belongs to the Holcopogon Stgr. — Bubulcellodes Amsel group-complex (Scythrididae), and nearest to Arragonia Amsel, as this is the only one of the related genera that has its m 3 and cuj separate on the hindwing : differing from the new taxon, however, by its stalked r 4 + 5 and short r x of the forewing. Generotype : Földvárii sp. n. Ilionarsis Földvárii sp. n. Alar exp. : 17 mm. Head, thorax, scapulae, antennae, brush of labial palpi a light, straw­colored or greyish ivory white, third joint of labial palpi brownish. Forewing a straw-colored ivory white, with but some light fawn-colored brownish scales inside cell (forming a longer patch in its middle and a spot at its end) ; there are brownish scales also on dorsum before outer angle.
