I i PARTICIPANTS OF TFIE CELEBRATION plary work and her readiness to help in regard to upcoming generations. Finally, the museum's scientific director, Andrea Czére, acquainted the audience with the contents of the Festschrift and presented it to Teréz Gerszi, whose words of appreciation closed the series of speeches. The celebration was accompanied by the music of Renaissance lutes, and a small exhibition presented a selection of Teréz Gerszi's most important new attributions, i.e. twenty-five drawings from the drawing collection, which also served as a background to the speeches. These included works by Hans Burgmair the Elder, Hans Leu the Younger, Joseph Heinz, Hans von Aachen, Cornelis Engebrechtsz, Jan I. Brueghel, Jacques I. Savery, Hans Bol, Hendrick Goltzius, Denys Calvaert, Frederick van Valckenborch, Herman van Swanevelt, Ferdinand Bol, Peter Lely and other artists. The works that were exhibited on the occasion of this celebration had no particularly close connection to the Festschrift but were simply a selection arranged from the research findings that Teréz held closest to her heart. The most important books, catalogues and series of articles she wrote were displayed in showcases.
