28 PARTICIPANTS AT THE CONFERENCE Archaeological Mission at the Abusir pyramids; Dr. Ulrich Luft professor from Eötvös Loránd University lectured on his excavations and epigraphical work at Bir Minih, an ancient gold mine in the Eastern Desert, while Dr. Zbigniew Szafranski from Warsaw University and the Polish Centre of Mediterranean Archaeology in Cairo talked about the restoration project carried out at the Deir el-Bahari temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The best papers read at the conference will be published by the Department of Egyptology at Eötvös Loránd University as volume XVIII of Studia Aegyptiaca in 2007. Kata Endreffy
