The Museum of Fine Arts in 2000

Bulletin, published not only in French, but also including articles in English, Italian and German in recent years, had a double issue that year. From 1999 to 2000 Museum attendance grew by 40,000 visitors to the last year: the total number of visitors in the year of 2000 was 260,000, up by nearly 20% from the previous year. NEW ACQUISITIONS Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities Twenty-five acquisitions were made, two of which were donations. Of salient importance is the relief from Actium (inv. 2000.24. A) (with the help of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and several sponsors) (fig. 91). Other major acquisitions include an amber ring from the Imperial age (inv. 2000.1.A; present by Marianne Rozsondai), a large archaic Etruscan impasto bowl (inv. 2000.25.
