The Museum of Fine Arts in 2000

Bulletin, published not only in French, but also including articles in English, Italian and German in recent years, had a double issue that year. From 1999 to 2000 Museum attendance grew by 40,000 visitors to the last year: the total number of visitors in the year of 2000 was 260,000, up by nearly 20% from the previous year. NEW ACQUISITIONS Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities Twenty-five acquisitions were made, two of which were donations. Of salient impor­tance is the relief from Actium (inv. 2000.24. A) (with the help of the Ministry of Cul­tural Heritage and several sponsors) (fig. 91). Other major acquisitions include an amber ring from the Imperial age (inv. 2000.1.A; present by Marianne Rozsondai), a large archaic Etruscan impasto bowl (inv. 2000.25.
