of József Somogyi, a stone-cutter from Mindszentkálfa are dis­played in the stone carving workshop. The stone coping of the well and the stone trough facing the street could have been the stone-cut­ter's trade-sign. His main prod­ucts were stone boards, water­ing troughs and grindstones although he also carved simple tombstones. • p Protecting values locally In recent decades throughout the Bakony and the Balaton­Uplands rural houses and vineyard cellars are increas­ingly being renovated as holi­day homes. This increases the likelihood of protecting local folk monuments. We hope that our museum will encourage this positive process and our colleagues are happy to provide advice about the protection and preservation of these struc­tures. (muteremrasznm.hu)
