Zoltán Nagy PETRO'S HOUSE One of the highlighted themes of the Russian language professional literature dealing with Ob-Ugric peoples is dealt with in ethnographic study of settlements. This kind of research deals - in almost each and every case - with ‘the’ Khanty and ‘the’ Mansi people, or a local group of them, just in general terms. Practically there is no literature where we could read about particular settlements, or concrete crofts and households: in every case an ideal-typical picture is created. In this paper I wish to break with this professional tradition, and I wish to link to the approach, according to which the stories of concrete houses or crofts also include the chronicle of the processes of an era, or a region, migration, economic restructuring, and they also well exemplify the mentality of people living there, and the change of their mind frames over generations. In my paper I wish to write the story of a concrete Khanty man living along the river Vasyugan named Petro (Piotr Mikhailovich Milimov) and his house in such a way that I attempt to describe the house at different levels, symbolically and concretely. I look at the house trough the history of the last hundred years of the settlement, write about the house and the interior in detail, and I closely look at history of each building on the croft, their space organisation, and the formalities linked to the family. Finally, I outline the possible interpretations of the presented example. Zoltán Nagy PETRO’S HAUS Eines der wichtigsten Themen der russischsprachigen Fachliteratur, die sich mit den obugrischen Völkern beschäftigt, ist die Siedlungsethnographie. Diese Forschungstradition erwähnt fast ohne Ausnahme „die” Chanten und „die” Mansen, oder höchstens eine ihrer lokalen Gruppen im allgemeinen. Es gibt jedoch praktisch keinen Text, wo wir konkrete Siedlungen mit konkreten Höfen und Haushalten vorfinden würden. In jedem Fall wird nur ein idealtypisches Bild aufgezeichnet. In meiner Studie möchte ich mit dieser Tradition in der Fachliteratur brechen und möchte mich der Annäherungsweise anschließen, die jeweils die Geschichte eines konkreten Hauses und Hofes behandelt und die Chronik einer Epoche aufweist, die Geschichte einer Region, die Migrationsprozessen, den wirtschaftlichen Strukturwandel beschreibt, sowie die Mentalität der Einwohner und die Änderung der Mentalität durch das Studium von Generationen wahrnimmt. In meinen Aufsatz will ich die Geschichte des Hauses eines konkreten Chanten-Mannes des am Fluss Vasjugan lebenden Petro, d.h. Pjotr Michailovitsch Milimov so darstellen, dass ich dabei versuche, das Haus auf mehreren Ebenen symbolisch und faktisch vorzustellen. Ich platziere das Haus in der Geschichte der letzten hundert Jahre des Dorfes, ich schreibe detailliert über das Haus, die Einrichtung und behandle das Schicksal der einzelnen Gebäude im Hof, die räumliche Anordnung und die Äußerlichkeiten in Bezug auf die Familie. Schlussendlich zeichne ich die Deutungsmöglichkeiten des vorgestellten Beispiels auf. 383
