Arany János - Győrei Zsolt (szerk.): The trill of the nightingale (Budapest, 2019)

V - „'Tis enough if it shines for me” - The Consoler (Mark Baczoni)

To my joys you add the flavour My sorrow to mask you labour So others in their jealous glee Will never my wounds bleeding see; You who play in a rainbow hue In my endless tears, like the dew; And when for my lament 'tis time - It's nobler, when it's couched in rhyme. Do my poems have some merit? I've never cared, nor thought 'pon it. My humble candle's light is not The only hope some sailor's got No lighthouse on the great blue sea, The only light the fleet can see, That casts its light far as can be - 'Tis enough if it shines for me. 100 ------- 101
