Representation of Gypsies in Hungarian movies from the 1960s until today This essay examines Hungarian movies that were produced in the period between the 1960s and 2000s an the basis of a thematic selection. It focuses on films that can be related to Gypsies living in Hungary. These movies will then be analysed according to different (sociological, anthropological etc.) viewpoints. The main question is what kind of representation they produced of this ethnic minority.
