family. The paper studies the process of separation, and the pupils' paterns and possibilities to the choise of profession. At the end we discuss the role of the school and the teachers in the public education, both in their individual and organized forms. The analysis is based mainly on the matriculas, registers and advertisements found in the archive of the school, and the annuals, between 1911-1944. The written data are supplemented by informations got from interviews.
