IV. "GOLD HOARD FROM BRIGETIO" A gold hoard came to light in 1946 in the surroundings of Szőny next to the praetorium of the camp. It included seven aurei of the end of the third century A.D., jewelry, rings, bracelets, and other gold objects. The last coins ons the find were struck between 286 and 289 A.D. The pieces are catalogued under inv. no.: 62.1946 in the Numismatic Depatment of the Hungarian National Museum. /R. Alföldi, M. : Gold hoard from Brigetio. NK 48-49, (l949-5o), 5-9/. M.
