1944 In the second half of this room the darker tones of the German Occupation following the spring of 1944 point to the end of an independent Hungary. The commencement of bombing and the deportation of provincial Jewry appear with the aid of posters and installed ruins. There is a symbolic strength in the sandycoloured BMW motorcycle belonging to units of the Africa Korps deployed not there, but in Southern Hungary (exhibition detail)
