Nevertheless, it seems more appropriate to distin­guish between the two cultures since the distribution of the Hatvan culture extended just until the Tisza valley, while the Otomani culture covered the areas east of it, namely the middle and northern part of the Trans­Tisza region. 25 BADER 1978, Pl.
