CHRONOLOGY 191 1 István Szőnyi attends the Academy of Fine Arts' (Képzőművészeti Főiskola) evening free school in Epreskert. The Artists' House (Művészház ) arranges retrospective exhibitions for József Rippl-Rónai and Károly Kernstok in March and November-December. The group of painters who exhibited their work together in 1 909 set themselves up as the Group of Eight (Nyolcak) in April, and their exhibition at the National Salon (Nemzeti Szalon) is opened. Vilmos Aba-Novák enrolls in the teacher training course at the Academy of Fine Arts. 1912 The Ernst Museum (Ernst Múzeum) is opened in April. The last Exhibition of the Group of Eight is held at the National Salon in November-December. A jubilee exhibition is held at Nagybánya in August. 1913 Vilmos Aba-Novák works with Adolf Fényes at the Szolnok Artists' Colony. István Szőnyi starts his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Károly Ferenczy's class. Károly Patkó attends the painters' course at the Nagybánya (today: Baia Mare, Romania) Artists' Colony in July and August; Antal Deli also visits the place occasionally; Dávid Jándi has been studying here since 1911. The National Salon arranges an exhibition for Futurists and Expressionists and an International Post-Impressionist exhibition is opened at the Artists' House in January-February.
