The dissertation was among the first successfully defended since the introduction of the PhD degree in Hungary. The opponents were Zoltán Kádár and György Ruzsa, the degree was awarded 'summa cum laude'(1999). A portion of the thesis was published independently as: Taraszovics Bazil munkácsi püspök (J 633-1651) két antimenzionja.
