Összefoglaló (angolul)

ponsibility and occupation of leaders grew. Due to this ever less and less time was left for informal meetings with the members. On the other hand, the new specialists tended to regard the members as subordinates. Strong centralizing tendencies prevaliled in the Cooperative Farm. On account of this the former, rather "proprietor"-like attitude of the members became that of an "employee"'. The zeal to work of members and labour discipline grew worse. c) From 1965 inland waters appeared regularly and in a severe form in the area of the "ŰTTÖRÖ" Cooperative Farm. Due to a série of natural disasters and the flood in 1970 the Cooperative Farms was brought into a critical situation. d) Nevertheless, in order to be able to maintain their distinguished place occupied earlier among the cooperative farms of Makó, between 1965 and 1969 a year by year increasing proportion of the gross income was distributed among the members, that is, ever less and less was allotted to accumulation and reserve-funds. After the devastation caused by the flood in 1970 and by inland waters a loss of 17,5 million Forint occurred and in the spring of 1971 the finances of the Cooperative Farm had to be placed on sound bases. The Cooperative Farm heavly shaken in its economic foundation and spirit of collectivity elected a neio president, then considerable adjustments were made in the structure of production, in the farm organization and in the management methods. As a result of these changes and through the subvention of the State a substantial turn took place in the life of the Cooperative Farm, and with the reestablishment of cooperative democracy the formerly suppressed energies could be mobilized. The above changes associated with the favourable weather conditions of 1971 yielded good economic results.
