THE HISTORY OF THERAPY AND HYGENE OF POULTRY AFTER WORLD WAR II. UNTIL DEVELOPMENT OF LARGE - SCALE ANIMAL BREEDING IN HUNGARY ADRIENNÉ SZOVÁTAY In one and a half decade following World War II. among infectious diseases the fowl pest epizootics as a consequences of the preventive inoculations in the late fifties ended. Preventions against fowl cholera and coccidiosis with pre­ventive medicinal treatment were possible. The fowl typhus - free breeding stocks by means of blood tests on the spot, breeding stocks that resistance to Marek - disease and other malignant tumours were evolved by means of sort­ing out. As the poultry breeding was charasteristic of so - called extensive, small - scale breeding, in order to restraining of the diseases origin of animal husbandry and feeding were necesarry to spread large - scale animal hygiene methods. These were the first initiated on animal colonies of the poultry ­industry.
