Preface

Agricullurae" (Prague), partly in the next yearbook of the Hungarian Agricultural Museum, and partly in a further Hungarian publication. This volume contains the lectures delivered in the Und, Illrd and IVth section of the III. International Congress of Agricultural Museums, with the addition of some remarkable contributions made at the Congress. The development of agricultural implements, the transformation of traditional agriculture, the formation of agricultural regions are closely connected subject groups which rather differ from those covered by the other sections. This circumstance not only made it desirable to treat them together in this volume, but also formed a basis for presenting the text of the lectures essentially according to the historical development and connections, without separating them by sections. We present this latest volume of the „Proceedings of the Hungarian Agricultural Museum"" to the reader in the hope that it not only will set an imperishable memory to the III. International Congress of Agricultural Museums, but will at the same time serve as a remarkable contribution to progress in agromuseological and agrohistorical research, and as an example to be followed in scientific co-operation between nations directed at a common aim.
