GYÖRGY KISS: THE APPLICATION OF PSYCHOLOGY IN HUNGARIAN ECONOMY BETWEEN THE TWO WORLD WARS Experiences have shown that industry becomes interested in psychology whenever labour reserves and technological reserves do not ensure further development. Before the first World War, labour reserves were plentiful in Hungary. In the period between the two World Wars direct connections of industry with psychology were not established, si^ph endeavours can, however, be detected in the frame of government social policy, in the frame of occupational advising. The paper deals with the methods of ability tests, with their results and with the application of such results.
