The collection of the Science Museum of London comprises a ship model bearing the inscription: "Danube Steamer (1846) with Paddle-Wheel, scale 1:48". Laid out on an artistic stand decorated with inlaid mother-of-pearl, the model is exquisitely executed and, as revealed by the catalogue, it represents a Danube steamer built in the said year under the control of Sámuel Pretious,
