Their faces are drawn only by a few lines, counter to their hair painted more carefully and in detail. Still with the pai iniao technigue and a few light colors he gives us two agreeable beauties with joyful faces who are characteristic of cither minuteness or simplicity without any ornamental stylization. On the left edge w r e can view a poetic inscription: '"Both wear fine dresses like twins. In their hands are flowers, not to be tied to their hair. Affections would be placed on silks. Only they must be packed into cases on the autumn wind's approach." The poem is followed by the name Tan-chming. and two seals read together as "Chang Yen".
