Inventory number: 62.550, height: 6, 7 cm, diameter: 12 cm. Similar to this, our second piece is also decorated with a dragon (figs. 9a—b), however, on this bottle, the traditional motif is already taken apart, ornamentation is the dominating character. The neck of the bottle is slender, round on the top, broad at its ""shoulders"", gradually narrowing toward the bottom, then gelling slightly wider at the base. The opening is decorated by ju-i motifs, the base is ornamented by flowers. Above the narrowest spot of the base, there is a bulging ring, above it wave crest, a dragon is rising out of the water. On the body of the bottle five-clawed dragons are to be seen in different positions. The space between the dragons is filled with balls, highly stylized flames and cloud motives. On the bottle, these elements change at regular intervals, their form is almost identical. The contours are drawn with meticulous care by the application of extremely thin lines. Each scale of the dragon is separately drawn. Inspile of the fact thai the flames and clouds are not related to the dragon, their pattern being loo much elaborated, still the overall impression they make is very harmonious, truly beautiful. The glaze is slightly bluish while, spotless, with a lovely blight blue. On the boltom, a square marking: Ta Ch ing Ch ien-lung nien chi. Inventory number: 64.103, height: 33 cm. Inder the upper decoration, one can sei 1 the eighl Buddhist fortune symbols: an endless knot, umbrella, vase, etc, quite common during ibis era. The style of ornamentation reminds the onlooker of the similar decorating style of the enamel cloisonnée applying related forms. On the boltom of the ware there is ihe stylized marking of longevity.
