HOPP FERENC MÚZEUM — MUSÉE FERENC HOPP - Horváth, Tibor: Report on the activities of the Ferenc Hopp Museum of Eastern Asiatic Arts in 1963

(Cession means the Eastern material transferred by other Budapest museums, not belonging to their special sphere.) To our donors: Professor Einehen and graphic artist J. Urjinee (Ulan Bator), Professor Lajos Ligeti, Vice-President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and to Lajos Iván and his wife, we express our grateful thanks. Nine of the purchased art objects are reproduced here with a brief description (Figs. 4—12.). We are preparing a detailed study of the important new additions too, which will be published in the forthcoming volumes of our Yearbook. Study trip. Lydia Rásonyi spent the first half of May in Vienna and Salzburg to become acquainted with the museums and art monuments. On May 16, she left for Paris, where she stayed until August 31. She studied there the exhibitions of the Musée Guimet, and also the Japanese tsuba and woodcut material in the storage rooms. She extended her studies to the Musée Cernuschi and visited the other museums of Paris. Fig. 2. A part of the Szolnok exhibition
