In the Museum and Picture Gallery, Baroda to the 18th century, this one also shows the general use of shading, the punctured spirals and, as far as it can be judged from the photo, the deepened round holes too ; the composition of the specimen preserved in the Baroda Museum is much more forceful nevertheless 14 (Fig. 15). In conclusion our vessel, doubtlessly revealing a refined technical skill, is nevertheless a sign of decay from an artistic point of view in comparison with the preceding specimens. According to the statements made above we may date it somewhat later than the piece in the Baroda Museum, i. e. likely to the end of the 18th or the beginning of the 19th century. Comparing the specimens of the Baroda Museum and those of the Museum of Eastern Asiatic Art in Budapest, we might also observe interesting changes in the shape of the vessels.
