Ministry of the Interior. Although the government parties were in doubtless majority in legislation, the opposition - the social democratic and the public democratic parties did have some latitude. The study ends with evaluating the results of the capital's municipal election in 1925. The elections were won by the left wing opposition, but because of the huge number of unelected members in the municipal committee the national conservative communal parties (Christian Community Party, Community Civilian Party) were the majority in the general assembles. Non­elected members in the municipal committee were made possible in the 16" 1 paragraph in 1924. Although the opposition parties were handled in a more equitable way than before, taking over the capital city hall did not succeed.
